History

Lachlan Agencies is a family owned and run business in Condobolin, New South Wales, and moved to the current location in 1973. Geoff Brasnett was the first manager, and he dealt mainly in irrigation equipment, CIG Gases and general rural supplies such as stock feeds etc.

Serving the Condobolin town and district for over 40 years, the business has gradually evolved into dealing in more specific rural needs.

The present manager John Brasnett and his family moved to Condobolin in 1974 and continued to run the business, with sons Peter and Stephen joining later.

Since joining the NRI rural buying group Lachlan Agencies is now on a level playing field with the corporate retailers.

While the geographic diversity of Condobolin has helped ride out seasonal fluctuations in farmer demands over the decades, Lachlan Agencies believes the diversity in their product range has helped three generations of the family business to forge a respectable livelihood as rural independents.
