Staff Profiles


John Brasnett

John was born in Condobolin and moved away to board at Yanco Agricultural High School when he was 12. He then obtained a Diploma in Food Technology at Hawkesbury Agricultural College and worked in the food industry in Victoria and Sydney. 1974 saw him move back to Condobolin with his family to take over the management of Lachlan Agencies.


Peter Brasnett

Peter was born in Sydney and was 8 yrs old when the family moved to Condobolin. Educated at Condobolin Primary and High Schools, Peter left school and joined Lachlan Agencies in 1984. An avid sportsman, Peter has represented Condobolin and Western District in cricket and Australian Rules Football, as well as playing golf and bowls. Peter is now a qualified cricket umpire and coaches the local youngsters in Milo Cricket.


SteveStephen Brasnett

Steve was born in Sydney but received most of his education in Condobolin. After leaving school he worked as a salesman with several companies in Condobolin, Canberra, Sydney and Newcastle before returning to Condobolin to join his brother at Lachlan Agencies, bringing the benefits of his experience. Also a keen sportsman, Steve now plays bowls and golf when his busy family life permits.


Sheila Brasnett

Born in England, Sheila migrated to Australia in 1965 working as a nursing sister at Condobolin District Hospital. After meeting John they were married and lived in Sydney raising a family before the move to Condobolin in 1974. Sheila became involved in the Condobolin schools’ parent bodies and joined the local Quota Club. Once the children were older Sheila gradually learned the ropes of the office and took over full time in 1985.
